A Quick Visit

We have been busy at home getting our house back in order after so many months of chaos. Tuesday brought several deliveries, school pictures (I totally forgot to send in Ben's picture money so we will have to catch retake day), a quick visit to Aaron's grave to take more flowers , and not much done at home. Wednesday brought walks to school, a trip to Costco to restock the pantry, several visitors, calls to the billing department at the hospital to see where things stand, and karate. At some point we will get to homework, school projects, and maybe we'll think about Halloween costumes soon. We are also trying to plan a family vacation in the next few weeks just to get some down time together.

Life certainly doesn't stop or even slow down in our home. I was happy to get a few minutes at Aaron's grave with the kids on Tuesday. We will visit often just to feel the sweet spirit that hovers there and to get a few quiet moments of peace. Aaron's funeral was lovely, we felt lifted and supported by those who joined us and those who sent their love. I knew several more were in attendance who we couldn't see including our sweet boy. When I get the photos back from the photographer I will post them.

At some point I will make a photo book of Aaron's life, find a memory box, dry some flowers from the arrangements, etc. etc. I am just trying to pace myself at this point. The work that needs to be done seems insurmountable at times but I now have quite a bit more time to work now that I am not driving back and forth from the hospital. It feels good to be busy, actively getting things accomplished. Work is Good! Forward we roll comes to mind.

. . . I still think that somewhere in there you need to write a book. I know a publisher. Let me know if we can be of any help :)

Such an interesting photo to have in your family library to post. Interesting being a failure of a word. Life is so unpredictable....who knew. You have captured the beauty of the Lord's plan in a very touching, warm, and even happy way. Thanks, Denise and Ronny and kids.
